About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in a fast-paced and growing multi-million dollar company. This position will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and performing account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to grow their accounting career in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of general accounting experience strong internship experience will be considered
  • Experience in a corporate accounting environment or public accounting firm preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment and exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis a plus
  • Strong desire to learn and take on increasing responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, expenses, accruals, and general ledger activity.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other transactional accounting activities as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as assigned by management.
