We are expanding our Accounting Operations and are excited to add a Staff Accountant to our corporate accounting team. This role will support our operations teams across our hospitality, hotel, and club clients. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in developing, implementing, and training scalable accounting and financial processes that enhance the overall operations of Taylor Hospitality and its clients. This position is responsible for providing crucial financial insights by recording, researching, and analyzing property accounts and preparing monthly financial statements. Key responsibilities include creating financial transactions by posting data from invoices, cash receipts, and supplier invoices into accounting journals or software. As part of a team of skilled accounting professionals, the Staff Accountant will focus on delivering valuable support through data analysis, preparing operational reports, and ensuring accuracy in financial publications. Salary Range from $65,000 to $70,000 Annually, Based on Experience. Desired Qualifications: The ideal Staff Accountant candidate should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, along with knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. It is preferred that the candidate has prior experience in hotel accounting. In addition, the candidate should possess advanced skills in written and verbal communication, computational and computer skills, and a good understanding of mathematics. Essential Job Functions: Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, monthly P&L statements, and membership financials (Hotel, Hospitality, Club Sector) Develop, implement, and train scalable accounting processes. Prepare a monthly analysis of the cost of goods sold and operational expenses against the prior year and budget, provide explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments Lead monthly financial reviews with our clients.
