Position Overview: We are seeking a Staff Accountant who can contribute to our fast-paced close process with great attention to detail. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties including general ledger accounting transactions, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and process improvements. The position requires close coordination, communication, and effective cross-functional relationships with other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant financial accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with high attention to detail
  • Be a solutions-oriented team player and possess excellent organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop frameworks and solutions to questions and concepts
  • Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes, including proficient in handling accruals, prepaids, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, professional judgment, and management of confidential and sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP, and experience in a cross-functional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries, as well as respond to general ledger inquiries as needed.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Manage intercompany relationships and balances. This will involve liaising with different international locations to ensure proper accounting globally.
  • Ensure that all existing accounting/financial policies and procedures are consistently applied across all regions and companies in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of prepaid and accrued expenses.
  • Responsible for overseeing accounting transactions for international entities, including real-time review of month-end close and review of all monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of accounting processes, policies, and controls.
  • Support requests of the Company’s external auditors.
  • Perform other related duties (special projects and reporting analysis) as necessary
