Performs daily accounting activities, such as new vendor setup, expense report and sub-application review. Create and execute general journal entries on a daily basis based on supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP. Month-end close activities, including maintaining monthly and quarterly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and work in process schedules. Assists with preparation of documentation as requested by external auditors. Prepares special financial reports as requested by management by analyzing account information and trends. Initiates accounting research to ensure all transactions are in accordance with GAAP. Supports the accounting team by performing other assigned duties as needed. Supports continuous improvement in the department by reviewing, recommending and implementing better methods for existing processes.
