In short, the Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting through month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. This role partners closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to improve processes, support audits, and deliver reliable financial data.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
2-3 years’ overall experience in accounting.
Working Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Intermediate Excel skills.

Nice To Haves

Licensed CPA.
Accounting audit experience.
General Ledger experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, including cash and general accruals
Complete assigned month-end close responsibilities accurately and on schedule
Research accounting variances, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
Assist with the development and communication of new processes, tools, and workbooks
Support internal and external audits, including quarterly reviews and annual audits
Participate in process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives
Respond to accounting inquiries and support special projects as needed
Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information
