Our Accounting team is looking for a Corporate staff accountant with a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will participate in the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations, assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews, and support ad-hoc projects. You will also collaborate with other teams within and outside of the Accounting Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • An eye for process improvement, ability to challenge the status quo, and identify improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically, take ownership, and see a process/project through to the end.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Adaptability, responsiveness to change, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, flux/variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations during month end close process.
  • Assist in implementing and documenting accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with other teams outside of the Accounting Department (primarily Finance and Operations).
  • Answer financial and accounting questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Assist with annual internal and external audits including preparation of required schedules, providing requested backup, and walking auditors through processes.
  • Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Other projects as necessary.
