About The Position

Under the supervision of the Accounting Systems Supervisor, this position is responsible for supporting the CFO and Finance/Accounting department. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy in working with multi-source financial data, and the ability to support month-end and year-end close.

Requirements

  • The ability to read, speak and write in English.
  • The ability to communicate verbally and in written format in both individual and group settings.
  • Ability to be flexible, and able to change direction rapidly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, complete a wide variety of tasks in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge including: Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of the type of services Ariel Clinical Services provides.
  • Exercise independent judgment within the scope and boundaries of the department, the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations regarding department operations.
  • Ability to provide reliable, insured transportation for self and others through the community served.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or in Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
  • Minimum one year of accounting-related experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel Software.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year experience with full-cycle accounting.
  • 1-year experience in data presentation.
  • Advanced skills in Excel Software.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures for all accounting functions.
  • Promote and maintain confidentiality of financial and other data at all times.
  • Promotes trusted and healthy relationships between the Accounting department and program staff.
  • Ensure files are complete and maintained in alphabetical and chronological order.
  • Supports multiple program-specific AR and AP processes.
  • Assists programs in analyzing revenue and expenses.
  • Support monthly financial close by preparing schedules, journal entries, and account analyses.
  • Maintain financial reports, records and general ledgers.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc reconciliations to identify, investigate and resolve variances.
  • Prepare correspondence, mailings and priority shipments.
  • Must work closely with other Ariel Programs and offices.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping confidential information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
