MTY Food Group is looking for a Staff Accountant – Gift Cards for its US division, who will report to the Manager of Accounting. The position would be based out of Scottsdale, AZ in a hybrid capacity. JOB SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant – Gift Cards is primarily responsible for recording weekly gift card movement, recording period-end accruals and adjusting entries, and reconciling the gift card liability to processor reporting. The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to grow and advance to the next level within the company.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience preferred
2+ years prior Gift Card experience preferred
Self-motivated
Intelectually curious
Strong organization and prioritization skills, and respect of established deadlines
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel a plus
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports, and ability to work across multiple information systems
Possess strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and technical skills
Demonstrated ability to work within all levels of the organization
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills for interface with individuals of differing knowledge levels

Restaurant industry preferred
SAP S/4HANA ERP experience a plus

Responsibilities

Maintain gift card program, booking timely entries and reconciliations for multiple brands
Be main point of contact regarding gift card program accounting
Drive gift card program conversion between processors
