New Product Introduction (NPI) Stack Team works on advanced process development for new stack and stack component designs, new materials and innovative high volume manufacturing methods for our factories of the future. Process scale up and transfer to high volume manufacturing is our team's core expertise. Our work is highly collaborative in nature where we partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability and Supply Chain Teams.

Requirements

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Materials Science Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively within teams, and/or independently in a fast paced environment
  • Prior experience working in a Lab environment performing careful experimentation, data analysis, troubleshooting and root cause analysis is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct first of the kind experiments for product development and support prototype builds.
  • Implement DOEs and support data collection and analysis to help establish process windows, create specifications, enhance manufacturability, improve yield and qualify vendors.
  • Develop and execute test plans to qualify new processes, inspection and measurement systems and present data and results to Technical teams.
  • Work with manager or other engineers on team to conduct Root-cause analysis, troubleshoot yield and/or process excursions and provide failure analysis support.
  • Create work instructions and other associated process documentation to facilitate process transfers to Manufacturing
  • Train other technicians on new processes as needed to support higher volumes in manufacturing.
