Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Utilizes production and/or development equipment in sample preparation activities. Operates all equipment in a safe and clean manner. Carries out assigned experiments, captures data, and provides appropriate feedback to development engineers. Assists engineering with process recipe development, prototype manufacturing, and transfer to production activities in alignment with quality assurance protocols. Performs visual and dimensional inspection of products, collects and interprets inspection reports from auditors, and suggests process adjustments as necessary. Provides general support including packaging, rework, assembly and hardware install. Assist engineering in troubleshooting problems by investigating product defects, identifying mold problems, and initiating/implementing process improvements. Assists development team in other areas including, but not limited to: design-for-manufacturing, planning, time/cost estimates, material handling, assembly, design/creation of custom test rigs, running custom parts tests, capturing and reporting data.
