About The Position

Culmen International is seeking a Sr WMD Analyst to support our customer onsite at Ft Belvoir, VA. What You’ll Do in Your New Role The WMD-CP Analysis, Engineering, and Data Science Support initiatives are meticulously crafted to strengthen the capabilities of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in its imperative mission of identifying and preventing strategic surprises. By fostering a decisive advantage, these initiatives position the DIA as the Department of Defense (DoD) intelligence leader in generating comprehensive all-source intelligence on foreign Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). This crucial work underpins U.S. counterproliferation efforts and enhances national security. Key Areas of Responsibility: Program Management: Overseeing and coordinating various projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and seamless execution. Support for WMD Counteranalysis: Providing in-depth analysis and support to identify and counteract the threats posed by WMD proliferation. Analysis of Chemical and Biological Warfare Programs: Conducting thorough evaluations of foreign chemical and biological programs to assess their capabilities, intentions, and potential impact on global security. Evaluation of Nuclear Weapons Programs: Implementing detailed investigations into nuclear weapons programs to determine their scope and ramifications for international stability. Characterization and Vulnerability Assessments: Performing comprehensive assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in WMD programs, thereby informing protective measures. CBRN Intelligence Support: Offering specialized expertise in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) intelligence to bolster situational awareness and operational preparedness. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will play a crucial role in developing innovative analytical frameworks and collection strategies that span various mission areas within the directorate. Their efforts will encompass the evaluation of emerging technologies, techniques, and methodologies, ensuring that multi-intelligence integration is conducted effectively and efficiently. Moreover, they will engage in strategic planning for programming and budgeting, thereby enhancing the overall efficacy and impact of our counterproliferation initiatives. These collaborative efforts will contribute significantly to our mission of safeguarding national and global security in an increasingly complex environment.

Requirements

  • MA in relevant field.
  • Experience in all-source analytic production on WMD, e.g. CBRNE analysis and participates in collection activities supporting strategic and tactical intelligence priorities and responses to military contingency operations.
  • Experience with analysis and collection support includes, but is not limited to, WMD threats, the CBRNE and counterterrorism nexus, missiles and delivery systems, advanced weapons, and related military activities and operations.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the related field activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Demonstrates mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or other fields that affect tradecraft methodology.
  • Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
  • Demonstrates in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.
  • 8+ years of experience or 12 total years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI; must be willing to sit and obtain/maintain polygraph
