Key statistics: 950+ Consultants 640+ Ph.D.s 90+ Disciplines 30+ Offices globally Our Opportunity We are currently seeking a Senior Vehicle Mechanical Engineer for our Vehicle Engineering Practice in Farmington Hills, MI . The individual must have 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry. In this role, you will work as part of a team on research involving vehicle collisions, crash testing, and vehicle structures. The candidate should be technically talented with good hands-on skills, have excellent communication skills, and be motivated to ultimately develop their own consulting practice and grow professionally within Exponent.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or a related field)
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship or processing
  • P.E. license or the willingness to obtain a P.E. license
  • A fundamental interest and knowledge base in the automotive field
  • Must be versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime and travel when required
  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information and present it to specialists and non-specialists alike
  • Clear written communication and technical writing skills are required
  • Must have a proven dedication to quality and accuracy
