We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director, Engineering and is based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Expert level experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Experience with PLM and Salesforce software (Agile experience is preferred)
  • Sound understanding of product data management and PLM systems required
  • Experience with bill of material and product structuring
  • Experience with version and revision control systems
  • Exceptional working knowledge of change management industry standards and best practices
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions based on available information
  • Ability to lead projects, create action plans, monitor and report on progress and follow through on their implementation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD file management a plus (Enterprise PDM preferred)
  • Experience with interpreting construction or civil engineering drawings is a plus

Responsibilities

  • First priority is to support the Customer Installation Group (CIG) with the creation of new bill of materials using construction related drawings
  • Update existing bill of materials as site design evolves
  • Monitor assigned cases in Salesforce of upcoming site installations and proactively pull information from CIG
  • Monitor engineering changes that release or replace site installation parts and kits
  • If time allows, support Product Development and NPI with electro/mechanical design and documentation
