About The Position

The Sr. Underwriting & Due Diligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the evaluation, underwriting, and due diligence of real estate acquisition opportunities for the Company. This role conducts detailed financial and property analysis, coordinates due diligence activities, and collaborates with internal teams, legal counsel, and external consultants to identify and resolve property-related issues throughout the transaction process. The position also prepares investment committee materials and presents findings to support strategic acquisition decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) required and five + years related experience and/or training in real estate acquisitions, development and due diligence; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand zoning, survey, title and environmental issues related to real estate acquisitions.
  • Ability to offer solutions to issues that arise in the review of these due diligence items.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Company’s Acquisitions Department to research, evaluate, and analyze prospective acquisition opportunities, including participating in meetings with potential sellers and tenants.
  • Review and analyze due diligence reports, assess findings, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions to address property-related issues.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal personnel and external consultants to effectively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve property-level issues related to acquisitions.
  • Coordinate with Company personnel and outside legal counsel to manage the due diligence review and overall transaction process in a timely and organized manner.
  • Conduct property inspections in support of acquisition activities, as needed.
  • Prepare Real Estate Investment Committee (REIC) presentation packages and present analyses and findings to the Committee.
  • Perform detailed internal valuation analyses and lease in-place evaluations for prospective property acquisitions.
  • Manage, organize and maintain all due diligence reports and supporting documentation required for the Company’s acquisition of properties with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
