About The Position

GFT is seeking a Senior Transit Strategy Manager to support and advance the growth, positioning, and delivery of its Transit & Rail Market Sector. Reporting directly to the Director of Transit & Rail, this role combines market and client strategy leadership with hands-on project management responsibilities. The Senior Transit Strategy Manager aligns transit strategy with successful project execution, serving as both a trusted advisor to clients and a day-to-day leader of transit and rail projects. In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following: Support execution of GFT’s Transit & Rail growth strategy. Assist with go-to-market planning, pursuit strategy, and win themes. Position GFT as a trusted advisor to public agencies. Develop internal tools and best practices. Participate in client presentations and industry events. Serve as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager. Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and risk. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants. Implement QA/QC procedures. Lead meetings and manage client communications. Maintain strong relationships with transit agencies. Support executive-level coordination. Translate technical information for diverse audiences. Mentor project managers and staff. Support staff development. Promote a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of transit or rail experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
