About The Position

At Medtronic, the Sr Transformation Program Manager will lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. This remote position is crucial for building and operationalizing a Cost-to-Serve capability across a fragmented, global service environment. The role involves integrating financial and operational data, establishing foundational data structures, and driving cross-functional execution. It requires a unique combination of data architecture thinking, analytical depth, business acumen, and program leadership, including communication with executives and providing tactical direction to technical SMEs. The core focus areas include developing a Cost-to-Serve Framework, Data Integration & Insight Generation, Cross-Functional Program Leadership, Master Data Governance, and Scrap, Obsolescence, Gain, and Loss (SOGL) Reduction & Execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, or Advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for corporation or major division by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability.
  • Scans environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over market, and may perform financial analysis of acquisition candidates.
  • Develops and monitors profitability, productivity, and growth targets.
  • May prepare acquisition proposals, recommend financial and nonfinancial strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans.
  • Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, organization structures, and financial analysis.
  • Define the data model and methodology for cost-to-serve (install base, transaction volume, cost pools).
  • Establish initial manual frameworks to bridge current system gaps.
  • Create scalable structure aligned to future system harmonization.
  • Consolidate fragmented data across Finance, Service Ops, and regional systems.
  • Translate raw data into actionable insights (cost drivers, variability, opportunities).
  • Partner with analytics/reporting teams to build repeatable reporting.
  • Drive alignment across Finance, IT, Service Delivery, and Business Units.
  • Identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and ownership issues.
  • Act as the single-threaded leader for cost insights initiatives.
  • Lead coordination of master data improvement efforts.
  • Translate business pain points into specific data requirements and fixes.
  • Provide executive-level clarity on impact vs. activity.
  • Develop critical insights into current sources and drivers of SOGL across regions, products, and service activities.
  • Define clear metrics, baselines, and reduction targets for SOGL in partnership with Finance and Service leadership.
  • Lead or oversee execution of prioritized initiatives and projects targeting SOGL reduction, tracking progress and realized impact.
