About The Position

The Routing and Planning (RaP) organization, within the Last Mile Technology
(LMT) organization, plays a pivotal role in Amazon's mission to deliver packages
to billions of customers worldwide. Our goal is to create the most efficient,
reliable, and high-quality route plans for our drivers while ensuring safe,
low-touch, and high-throughput solutions for operations. We’re challenged to
constantly improve and innovate on our routing and planning software to support
Amazon's promise of fast and reliable deliveries. The technology that are
developed by our teams include a wide breadth of solutions from Machine Learning
(ML) and Operations Research-based routing and planning algorithms, in-house
maps and navigation platform, IoT and hardware innovations, doorstep delivery
experience, and the consumer grade native mobile apps that brings all these
experiences together.

We're seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to be a part of our group. In this
role you will be the single threaded leader owning programs to deliver complex
projects across multiple Director/VP organizations. Responsibilities also
include identifying business and tech requirements, partnering with various
stakeholders, writing specifications, scoping, driving project schedules from
design to release, and managing the production launch. You will lead and
coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal science, operations,
product, and engineering teams. You will be expected to make appropriate
trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles,
responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote
project teams. You will own communication through various stages of the product
life-cycle.

Requirements

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• strong program management background

• well-rounded technical background

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
