Serve as a resource for the delivery of campus outside plant, structured cabling systems, audio/visual and electronic security systems design Work with other design team members to deliver projects from concept design through construction administration. Responsible for oversight of the entire design process for select projects, and/or assisting as a technical expert on specialized project components. While working on several concurrent projects, maintaining proper quality standards on all deliverables and adhering to project schedules and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of experience designing structured cabling systems infrastructure, audio visual, and electronic security systems.
  • Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution (RCDD) certification.
  • Proficient designing using Autodesk Revit (starting, linking and setting up models, navigating views, 3D plans, trouble shooting, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients.
  • Due to client requirements, must be able to obtain a US government security clearance.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for the delivery of campus outside plant, structured cabling systems, audio/visual and electronic security systems design
  • Work with other design team members to deliver projects from concept design through construction administration.
  • Responsible for oversight of the entire design process for select projects, and/or assisting as a technical expert on specialized project components.
  • While working on several concurrent projects, maintaining proper quality standards on all deliverables and adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Create and perform quality control of construction documents (drawings and specifications).
