About The Position

This role provides technical leadership to support network operations and mentor junior technicians in technical theory and operational discipline. It involves managing technical escalations, guiding project initiatives, and ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders. The role requires advanced knowledge of network theory, project management, core networks, transport, signaling protocols, and disaster recovery planning. Success is measured by effective resolution of technical issues, progress in project management, and improvements in operational processes. The work impacts organizational efficiency and network reliability, contributing to improved service delivery for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • 2-4 years - Working experience in switch operations and maintenance.
  • 4-7 years - Wireless telecommunications or other related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and support to improve network performance and resolve outages within and beyond the immediate team
  • Lead key projects and initiatives, guiding junior technicians and reporting progress, challenges, and resolutions effectively
  • Identify and develop process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities, recommending implementation to management
  • Create training materials and facilitate training sessions to maintain and enhance technical skills and organizational knowledge
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
