The Role The ITSM Sr. Technical Consultant (TC) is responsible for participating in a technical team through the deployment of a Contender Solutions IT Service Management project in ServiceNow. The TC works with the Solution Architect (SA) and Project Manager (PM) to configure ServiceNow according to the project scope and Contender best practices. Travel Requirements: This position will be remote within the Continental US with anticipated travel up to 5%.

  • Understand industry and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Understand Contender products and service offerings.
  • Participate in the implementation of delivery projects, including:
  • Gathering requirements from the client
  • Participating in design development with the Solution Architect
  • Implementing requirements defined in Agile stories and tasks
  • Understand and follow Contender's delivery methodology
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or other relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience as an administrator or developer of the ServiceNow platform
  • Ability to develop on the ServiceNow platform including configuration and customization
  • Strong JavaScript experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to develop on the ServiceNow platform including configuration of:
  • Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes
  • UI Policies and Data Policies
  • Tables and Forms
  • Dictionary Overrides
  • Experience with the ITIL framework (ideally certified in ITIL Foundations)
  • Experience explaining ServiceNow solutions to business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Workflow/Flow Designer, Table/Form creation, etc.
  • Experience with Agile methodology (including story refinement, testing, and scrum)
  • ServiceNow System Admin Certification
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification
  • Over all 5 years of experience on the ServiceNow platform
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
  • Certified Implementation Specialist
