When a machine breaks that is critical to the success of a program, Maintenance Technicians come and save the day. Working alongside Maintenance and Production Supervisors, they ensure that a product can be completed that will meet a customer’s standards.
Requirements
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities
- Under direction of Leader/Supervisor follow specific instructions and standard trade practices to obtain tools, material and equipment for carrying out work assignments on electro-mechanical systems, control devices and related equipment
- Perform component installation, system maintenance and repair work as assigned and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required
- Assist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipment
- Perform similar duties throughout the facility
- Assist others working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills
- Daily work area clean up
- Prompt reporting of malfunctioning equipment and machines
- Working within EH&S guidelines as defined by UTC and OSHA
- Training, obtaining, and maintaining licenses, operator permits, and certifications (as necessary)
- Participation in Company and Department sponsored EH&S and Quality initiatives
