Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field required; Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience, or 6+ years with a Master’s, in systems engineering or related field
• 3–5 years working directly with software teams on system specification and design
• Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
• Systems modeling and requirements management using DOORS or Cameo
• Familiarity with Agile development environments
• Systems engineering principles, architectures, and lifecycle practices
• Understanding of SNMP, REST APIs, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Experience with ESXi, operating systems, and VM configuration
• Network configuration, troubleshooting, and protocol analysis (e.g., Wireshark)
• Exposure to UX/UI design considerations

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and manage system design specifications, including Use Cases, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), and Requirements Management
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to translate system requirements into software functionality
• Develop and execute system-level test procedures to validate performance and compliance
• Participate in integrated product teams (IPTs) to coordinate cross-functional development activities
• Contribute to the refinement of systems engineering processes across the product lifecycle
