About The Position

The Sr. Systems Engineer is a systems mastermind who thrives on solving complex problems and building resilient, secure infrastructures. This role involves taking ownership of high-impact projects, collaborating with elite talent, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in cloud, network, and systems engineering. The engineer solves complex technical problems, handles monitoring, client incident response, and system modifications across a broad spectrum of industries and technical environments. They provide IT support for technical issues involving clients' core business applications and operating systems, answer client requests, urgently analyze technical issues, address escalations, and work with the project team on related projects. Requirements

  • Hands-on depth with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Intune, O365, and O365 migrations.
  • Strong virtualization background—VMware vSphere and Nutanix, including troubleshooting performance, HA, cluster config, and failover.
  • Solid networking fundamentals: DHCP, DNS, routing/switching, and firewall management.
  • Fluency in systems security, disaster recovery, enterprise backups, and system monitoring.
  • A bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience to back up the work.
  • MCSA or equivalent professional certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Citrix, Datto RMM, and PSA Autotask preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize secure systems and networks across fast-moving client environments.
  • Serve as the top-tier escalation point across Azure, Intune, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, and Active Directory.
  • Lead technical investigations and resolve escalated problems across LAN/WAN environments.
  • Provide expert-level support for firewalls, routing, switching, backup solutions, and hosted IP voice services.
  • Proactively improve system resilience, performance, and security—before a client has to ask.
  • Mentor and develop our Tier II engineers, raising the technical bar of the whole team.
  • Own the ticket lifecycle in Autotask and champion ITSM best practices.
  • Collaborate across the organization to set standards and keep us aligned with security policy.
