About The Position

The System Engineer shall be responsible for consolidating multiple Jira Service Desk instances and creating a unified, user friendly customer service desk to enhance the HPC organization’s service management capabilities and user experience.

Requirements

  • Twenty (20) years; experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
  • Extensive experience with Jira Service Desk configuration, administration, and customization
  • Proficient in UI/UX design and development using relevant tools and frameworks
  • Experience with API integration and scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
  • TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with Agile software development methodologies and project management tools
  • Experience with Git Source Control System
