The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for its next enthusiastic and motivated Systems Engineer. This individual will work in a dynamic team environment integrating and maintaining the THAAD system integration laboratory. THAAD is a cutting-edge missile defense system that protects our nation and its allies from ballistic missile threats. A successful candidate must be able to interact well with peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams. They must also possess the ability to support technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), development, or lab environment
  • Windows and/or Unix/Linux proficiency
  • Familiarity with networking and system administration
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the missile defense sector.
  • Familiarity with working in a classified environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with test, software, and systems engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Agile
  • Obtaining Security + within first year
  • Experience in real-time simulation operation
  • Experience with updating/developing drawings and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to understand complex systems, the ability to work by yourself to perform research necessary to solve system level issues

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot lab issues, support Failure Review Boards
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate and proof new system capabilities
  • Operate THAAD Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testbeds
  • Develop necessary documentation to support lab operations (procedures, configuration docs, drawings, etc.)
