The Senior Systems Analyst role requires a solid understanding of Ambulatory and Post Acute Care application systems to support the Physician Practice Management, LifeCare, and HomeCare Divisions. This position demands strong knowledge of Electronic Health Record & Practice Management Applications and involves providing ongoing support for all Ambulatory and Post Acute applications to facilitate business and patient care processes. Key responsibilities include coordinating or assisting in the planning, design, development, and testing of new applications and enhancements, performing complex analysis and troubleshooting, adhering to technical standards, practicing continuous quality improvement, and serving as a support resource for IT Projects and teams across the enterprise. The role also involves mentoring IT application analysts.

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven abilities as IT subject matter expert
  • Expertise in developing and implementing software and interoperability that provides value to the customer base
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement in planning, organizing, and performing system analyst tasks
  • Ability to serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems
  • Ability to work on IT teams and as an IT lead exercising independent judgment in planning, organizing, communicating support for IT Projects
  • Ability to multi-task issues and projects daily
  • Ability to communicate, motivate and organize projects among a broad spectrum of personnel throughout the network, frequently under deadlines and pressures
  • Ability to support and perform feasibility and analytical areas of responsibility
  • Ability to ensure processes and workflows are reviewed, documented, changed, and optimized as part of all technology deployment
  • Ability to ensure the implementation and daily operations of all computer applications HIPAA, security and change control processes

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records, Ambulatory and Post Acute Care systems
  • Knowledge of Athena, HomeCare HomeBase, and PointClickCare and other ongoing Ambulatory and Post Acute Care applications

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing support of all Ambulatory and Post Acute applications to support business and patient care processes
  • Coordinate or assist in the planning, design, development, testing of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
  • Perform complex analysis and troubleshooting for various applications
  • Follow technical standards for development, testing, change management and documentation
  • Practice continuous quality improvement
  • Serve as support resource for IT Projects and teams throughout the enterprise
  • Mentor IT application analysts
  • Exercise independent judgement in planning, organizing, and performing system analyst tasks
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot, research and solve technically challenging problems
