Job Summary Configures, installs, maintains and upgrades computer systems hardware and software | Administers and maintains security of operating systems | Restores files or systems by designing, writing and implementing back-up procedures | Provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment such as application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers and storage devices | Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and back-ups and monitors batch processes Impact of the Role General Profile Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines Solves complex problems Works independently, receives minimal guidance May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
  • Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance.
  • Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components.
  • Configures software and resolves technical problems.
  • Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Performs user management along with end-user support needs from Service Requests
