This role is responsible for the design, administration, and ongoing support of our on‑premises Active Directory infrastructure and Entra ID environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated, proactive professional who can independently own initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive enhancements from concept through completion. This position requires deep expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies to ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our directory services ARE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE? ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES MAY INCLUDE Design, implement, and manage hybrid Active Directory infrastructure. Advanced troubleshooting and knowledge of AD replication, Trusts, Group Policy Management, LDAP, Kerberos, AD security, AD Federation Services, and DNS. Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of on-premises Active Directory across multiple forests. Migration support, project planning, design and implementation of migrating AD objects between domains, and collaboration to decommission legacy domains post migration. Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 incident response, be available for flexible work hours as needed to conduct changes in off-hour change windows. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for directory services. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of directory services with other systems and applications. Monitor Active Directory and domain controller performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Entra ID and related technologies. Experience with security best practices and policies for directory services. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate) are a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with hybrid environments integrating on-premises Active Directory with cloud-based directory services. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell). Experience with domain migrations and domain consolidation. Familiarity with other identity and access management solutions such as Microsoft Identity Manager. Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Basic network troubleshooting skills. Advanced Excel skills. Optional skills in Google SecOps, Windows Server Update Services, PRTG monitoring.
