Sr. Linux System Administrator, internally known as Principal Analyst, based in Richardson, TX or Aurora, CO this Information Workplace Services collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Linux System Administrator. Responsibilities include the monitoring and support of systems that are operational 24x7 and which occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, accurately document issues in logging and discrepancy reporting tools, support system engineering groups as needed for ongoing analysis and integration efforts, design/implement updates to satisfy requirements flowed down from engineering, and upgrade existing COTS products to targeted baselines. This position serves as a help desk team member in a customer-facing environment, so the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with other teams and with the customer is of utmost importance, as you will be expected to uphold our excellent reputation. Must be able to work effectively with frequent and direct customer interaction in a real-time operational environment Must be able to work under pressure in restoring high priority systems back to operations 100% on site position Up to 5% travel

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years or prior relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance (Before start date)
  • Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND
  • Must have Linux RedHat and Windows Experience
  • Experience with virtual/cloud computing technologies such as Citrix, VMware, and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with storage products from Oracle, Dell/EMC (e.g., Isilon/PowerScale), and/or NetApp

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to navigate, debug, and modify programs in an advanced programming language
  • Must have Cloudera experience
  • Experience presenting technical information to customers, clients, and/or internal audiences
  • Working knowledge of client technologies
