Collaboration with other Supply Planner Specialists to develop recommendations and action plans to solve supply constraints. Manages all assigned inventory programs through analysis of inventory, production, and forecasted demand. Works closely with assigned plant resources to maintain capacity plans and ensure smooth Operations with minimal disruption. Provide the strategic innovating thinking and business changing recommendations that are at the core of our Supply Chain improvement. WHAT YOU GET TO DO Provide strategic insight by identifying programs that improve lead-time, cost and service by consciously monitoring and analyzing the flow of goods throughout Amcor's complex system of inventories and production asset bae Identify opportunities and solve problems step by step often looking beyond the obvious solution to a problem for the best solutions Benchmark externally for best practices and tools Network and collaborate with Market Segments to understand long range market trends, new product launches and emerging technology. Successfully lead the development and implementation of system enhancements and program changes that support the Amcor North America long-term supply chain strategies Development of lean strategies and advocate the lean approach throughout the supply chain Successful collaboration with internal stakeholders to bring alignment in meeting the goals and expectations set forth in the long-supply chain strategies Proactively analyzes historical production and forecast data to balance capacities Works closely with assigned plants to communicate expected capacity loading so that proper staffing can be maintained. Works closely with other Supply Planner Specialists to properly sequence operations where crossovers between assigned areas occur Resolves plant to plant issues to maintain targeted capacity loadings Set and periodically review target inventory levels Manage inventories for finished goods, and semi-finished goods and raw material Identify and prioritize consumption of aged inventory Provides data analysis, information and recommended solutions to key stakeholders regarding capacity constraints, emerging constraints and underutilization Advocate and execute against the lean initiatives throughout the supply chain. Drives business results by utilizing capacity information to minimize inventories and meet customer service requirements. Serves as a back-up to the Supply Planning Manager as needed Ability to build external connections and be influential within the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field & 7+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 12+ years
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven Analytical Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • 5+ years experience with ERP system, preferably SAP

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated Business Process Improvement knowledge or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • APICS or similar certification preferred.
  • Experience with integrated business planning software preferred
