What You'll Do: Provide technical leadership, oversees PSM work processes, and drives continuous improvement to reduce risk and support safe, reliable plant operations Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the facility’s PSM program Maintain and routinely audit all PSM elements, ensuring documentation accuracy and timely updates Serve as the site subject matter expert for process safety requirements and risk management, ensuring alignment between site practices and expectations Support regulatory inspections, corporate audits and professional engagements as a site representative Coordinate and lead/facilitate Process Hazard Analyses and risk assessments, including maintaining PHA schedule and tracking recommendations. Oversee management of change (MOC) process from initiation through pre-startup safety review (PSSR) Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Capital Projects teams to integrate PSM into day-to-day plant activities Support adherence to the 14 elements of our PSM program and competency development for PSM element owners and cross functional teams Lead PSM committee meetings, coordinate cross-functional alignment, and communicate program status to plant leadership Supervise PSM specialists, engineers, contractors, or other team members as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred)
  • 5+ years experience in chemical, ammonia, petrochemical, or refinery operations
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910.119, EPA RMP, and process safety principles
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and sound engineering judgment
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
