About The Position

Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Maintain a clean workstation and follow all safety requirements. • Requires a significant amount of walking. • Must have ability to climb stairs and work at heights up to 40 feet as required. • Perform duties in a standing position for extended periods. • Manually lift, push, and pull product that weigh up to 40 pounds. • Perform repetitive motion activities as required to support production. • Manual dexterity needed for using computer keyboard and calculator. • Ability to work flexible shift structure as needed. • Follows instructions provided by the department manager • Enforces applicable department procedures and work instructions. • Assist in managing all activities within department. • Performs the administrative functions associated with the departmental requirements. • Participates in and provides data for daily production meetings in manager’s absence. • Suggests and helps implement continuous process improvements • Participate in the formation and implementation of department policies and budgets • Assist employees with setting goals and performance standards • Ensure that employees follow procedures and maintain productivity levels • Oversee the research and investigation of process discrepancies • Train employees regarding new systems, policies and procedures. • Interact with Human Resources Department in the hiring, coaching, counseling, and termination of staff. • Investigate improvement of productivity through the use of better technique • and/or training methods. • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned. • Responsible for determining daily labor needs as well as preparing cost and labor reports for upper management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years prior leadership experience.
  • Candidate must have good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Thirty (30) days on-the-job training under direct supervision of the department manager or designated trainer is required.
  • Additional training requirements will be determined as needed during annual performance evaluation.
  • Successful completion of Powered Industrial Equipment (PIT) training for PIT utilized in specific areas as required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
