About The Position

Occupational health nursing is the specialty practice that delivers health and safety programs and services to workers and worker populations. The practice focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from work-related and environmental hazards. The principal objective of the Sr. Supervisor of Nursing is to provide professional nursing care and support and to manage the occupational health programs at a designated facility.

Requirements

Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse is required
2 years management experience
Knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field
Basic computer skills
Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Independent decision making and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

Implementing and maintaining Occupational Health Nurse programs, policies, and procedures for a facility
Adhering to nursing procedures within scope of practice
Managing comprehensive injury and illness prevention and early intervention program
Managing workers compensation cases and ensuring records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
Attending facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
Participating in facility safety and ergonomic programs
Developing and coordinating health education programs for Team Members
Adhering to the highest standard of confidentiality
Other duties as assigned
