About The Position

BJC HomeCare is seeking a Sr Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at the Glen Carbon, IL. office!
This individual will be handling incoming admissions and referrals for home health by working out of an EPIC work que to schedule patients and clinicians. They also assist with any scheduling changes between the patient or clinician.
Ideal applicants will have thorough communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in healthcare or logistics is great!

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. The Alton Intermittent Home Care Department of BJC Home Care Services provides home visits to patients in Alton, Illinois and several nearby counties, with 24 hour on-call home care nursing supervision. Role Purpose
Create and maintain schedules for a multidisciplinary team of clinicians in a manner that supports exceptional patient care and best practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years

Nice To Haves

• 5-10 years

Responsibilities

• Makes independent decisions regarding daily staffing of clients with clinical support from the patient care coordinator, supervisor or director.
• Ability to grasp home health regulations pertaining to timely initiation of care and schedule in accordance with those regulations.
• Must have the ability to learn a complex scheduling software program and its associated processes
• Monitors schedules and proactively communicates with clinicians and charge nurse.
