About The Position

The Sr Staff Technical Product Manager bridges manufacturing business needs, a third-party MES implementation partner, and operational support for existing applications to deliver high-quality, reliable manufacturing systems. In this role you will set clear strategic direction, own the product vision and roadmap, and translate stakeholders voice into actionable backlogs and releases. You will focus on leading MES/product initiatives, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring delivery and quality, and maintaining tight alignment with manufacturing operations to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a multi-quarter roadmap aligned with manufacturing strategy and plant workflows.
  • Translate VOC and operational priorities into MVPs and phased releases.
  • Manage and continuously prioritize the backlog; ensure 1–2 sprints of “ready” work.
  • Set acceptance criteria, sprint goals, and quarterly release plans balancing features, defects, and technical debt.
  • Coordinate Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Product Owners, Developers, UX, Architecture, QA/QMS, and IT.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, demos, and UAT; engage frequently with development teams for clarification and story acceptance.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, synthesize personas/use cases, and align on requirements.
  • Manage third-party MES partners to scope, SLAs, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Ensure solutions fit plant standard work; plan training, communications, cutover, and hypercare to minimize production disruption.
  • Partner with support teams to triage, prioritize, and resolve operational issues.
  • Embed SQDC outcomes in design and delivery; drive prevention and root-cause actions.
  • Ensure cybersecurity, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence across releases.
  • Maintain understanding of the technology stack, integrations, data flows, and non-functional needs (scalability, security, performance).
  • Collaborate with Architecture and UX on design decisions and implementation trade-offs.
  • Define and track KPIs (delivery predictability, defect escape, availability, adoption, backlog health).
  • Lead retrospectives and improvement initiatives based on insights and operational feedback.
  • Run governance cadence (steering, working sessions, UAT cycles, change board) with clear entry/exit criteria.
  • Provide transparent status, risk/issue tracking, and decision logs to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Coach teams on Agile/product best practices; mentor junior TPMs.
  • Model structured problem decomposition, critical thinking, and effective influence.
