Sr. Staff Developer
About The Position
The Sr. Staff Developer will provide techno-functional leadership to the CMD sales and commercial Ops Organization, focusing on the development of end-to-end functional quoting solutions. This role involves developing Oracle solutions for quote creation, configuration, discount management, and presentment. The developer will partner with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define and implement comprehensive quoting solutions, identify and document technical gaps, and liaise with technical, functional, business, and system integrator teams. Key responsibilities include working with Product Configuration & Rules, complex Configurator settings, Commerce Process, complex workflow approvals, Document Designer, and Pricing functionality within Oracle CPQ Cloud. The position also requires guiding technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions, evaluating the impact of design decisions on code, data, integrations, and technical environments, and performing CPQ system administration and configuration. Furthermore, the role involves implementing integrations with external systems, enhancing Oracle CPQ performance using best practices, integrating CPQ with CRM/ERP systems like Salesforce, and performing GAP analysis and mapping based on requirements and Oracle big machines Platform capabilities. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel and offers the flexibility to work remotely or telecommute.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study
- 4 years of experience as a Java Developer, Principal Software Engineer or a related occupation
- Working with a Global team and working across time zones as necessary
- Standard sales process, Quote to Cash, Opportunity Management, etc.
- Oracle CPQ data model, data architecture, and data management
- Oracle CPQ Yellow & Blue Belt certification
- JavaScript, Jquery, HTML, XML
- 2+ years’ experience with Jet UI
- Best practices around development and testing solutions and methodologies within Oracle CPQ
Responsibilities
- Provide techno-functional leadership to the CMD sales and commercial Ops Organization in development of end-to-end functional quoting solutions
- Develop Oracle solutions in Quote Creation, configuration, discount management, and presentment
- Partner with the business SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to define, as well as implement, end to end Quoting solutions
- Identify and document technical gaps
- Liaise technical, functional, business, and system integrator teams
- Product Configuration & Rules, complex Configurator setting Commerce Process, Complex work flow approval, Document Designer, and Pricing functionality, Jet of Oracle CPQ Cloud
- Guide the technical team to deliver high quality solutions
- Evaluate the impact of design decisions on the code, data, integrations, and technical environment of applications
- Perform CPQ system administration and configuration
- Implement integrations with external systems and will address and enhance Oracle CPQ performance utilizing best practices around development and testing solutions and methodologies within Oracle CPQ
- Integrating CPQ with CRM/ERP systems, such as Salesforce
- Performing GAP analysis and mapping based on requirements and Oracle big machines Platform capabilities
