About The Position

This hands on, technical, and supervisory role is responsible for the security, integrity, performance and availability of all data. The position requires strong leadership experience and comprehensive experience in database analysis and administration, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server. The job will focus on ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the PROD/QA/Training applications and Data Warehouse environments across multiple platforms.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS
• Hands-on knowledge of T-SQL queries and database objects such as stored procedures, views, and functions
• Basic Windows Server OS Experience preferred
• 4+ years of experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022
• Strong diagnostic/analytical/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to manage support on a 24/7 basis including early morning Month-end duties
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
• Excellent business analysis capabilities
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Knowledge of database authorization and authentication
• Performance monitoring and alerting
• Experience developing ETL processes
• Experience with ZappySys for Mongo to SQL preferred
• Ability to develop database utilities and automated reporting
• Familiarity with log shipping, database snapshots and mirroring
• Experience with SQL Server migrations and upgrades
• Working knowledge of MS Access preferred
• 4+ years of experience preferred
• Formal educational experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other closely related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of DBAs, conducting standup meetings and managing workloads
• Mentor Associate DBA and Associate SQL Developer positions
• Maintain a reliable DW environment for financial reporting
• Process Database Change Request (manual modification to data)
• Perform routine database maintenance, backups and recovery
• Assist in Disaster Recovery/ Business Continuity Planning
• Write SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS) Report and create SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) packages
• Manage Users and Roles
• Manage SQL Server instances, upgrades and migrations
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
