Sr. SQL Administrator Highly accomplished Senior SQL Database Administrator with over 20 years of experience designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing mission-critical database environments across enterprise and high-availability ecosystems. Proven expert in managing large-scale SQL Server platforms supporting business-critical applications, analytics, and reporting workloads, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, security, and data governance. Demonstrated success partnering with application teams, BI and data strategy leaders, infrastructure, and security organizations to align database architecture with business objectives. Known for a pragmatic, calm approach to complex production issues, deep technical expertise, and the ability to mentor teams while driving operational excellence. Core Expertise & Strengths Enterprise SQL Server administration (on-prem, cloud, and hybrid) High availability and disaster recovery (Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping, backups) Performance tuning and query optimization for OLTP and reporting workloads Database security, compliance, and access control Capacity planning, monitoring, and proactive health management Data migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization Automation and scripting (T-SQL, PowerShell) to improve reliability and efficiency Supporting BI, analytics, and reporting platforms (including Power BI and data warehouses) Incident response, root-cause analysis, and production support leadership Professional Impact Designed and supported highly available SQL environments with minimal downtime and strong SLAs. Led complex database upgrades and migrations with zero or near-zero business disruption.
