That’s how we’re UNSTOPPABLE for our employees! The Sponsorships team is responsible for leveraging strategic partnerships to drive T-Mobile’s brand and business objectives. The Sr. Sponsorships Manager (Baseball) will manage all aspects of T-Mobile’s partnership with Major League Baseball and collaborate with colleagues overseeing other elements of the partnership including Little League, Minor League, team partnerships, and talent support. This role will partner on the development of annual sponsorship strategies; oversee go-to-market, cross-functional planning, and campaign execution; and be accountable for performance measurement and executive recaps. In addition, the Sr. Sponsorships Manager will support Sponsorships team leadership with budget forecasting, landscape analysis, portfolio optimization and prioritization, and contract negotiations, as appropriate. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for leveraging sports partnerships to create impactful brand experiences and drive business goals. They bring expertise in partnership strategy, asset management, relationship development, and cross-functional leadership. This role works closely with internal marketing teams and external agency partners to ideate, build, and deliver breakthrough sports marketing campaigns. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Sponsorships.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience (e.g., brand marketing, sponsorship marketing)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing partner relationships for, or on behalf of, a major brand
  • Experience utilizing and measuring the impact of sponsorships and events to drive brand and business growth at national and local levels
  • Experience partnering with Product and/or Technology teams to showcase services through partner integrations
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver clear, concise marketing strategies at all organizational levels
  • Experience managing a robust portfolio of high-impact partnership assets
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to both give and receive direction
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of the wireless industry, 5G technology, and how it is leveraged across partnerships to enhance fan experiences and drive operational efficiencies
  • Strong understanding of the baseball ecosystem, including landscape, audiences, trends, and partner activations
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing disciplines
  • Ability to attend sponsorship partner meetings and events, which may include holidays and/or workweeks exceeding 40 hours
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Partner with team leadership and business stakeholders to develop T-Mobile’s MLB activation strategy
  • Lead cross-functional campaign efforts, partnering with key marketing functions to develop and execute breakthrough sports marketing campaigns around T-Mobile’s partnership assets and MLB’s biggest moments
  • Partner with the Talent team to manage and optimize a compelling player and influencer roster
  • Track and manage all contractual assets related to T-Mobile’s MLB partnership
  • Manage the MLB activation and sponsorship budget
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to demonstrate T-Mobile solutions and services at tentpole events
  • Develop comprehensive presentations, briefs, and other materials for planning and executive needs
  • Foster strong relationships with properties, agencies, vendors, and key internal stakeholders
  • Establish KPIs, drive measurement workstreams, and lead cross-functional and executive reporting
  • Provide additional support across the Sports team, as needed
