About The Position

The Sr S&M Business Operations Specialist assists the Sales & Marketing Business Operation Team by producing financial and statistical reports and tracking information for the Business Unit. Works with the Business Operations Team to process month end deliverables such as bonus accruals and incentive, performance and expense tracking. Assists in various compensation related tasks as well as General Ledger tasks

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ yrs Accounting or Finance experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical ability is necessary
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple requests in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible work schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • 5 + yrs Accounting or Finance Experience
  • Vacation Ownership experience
  • Experience with Voice, PeopleSoft, Cognos and Hyperion

Responsibilities

  • Produces financial and statistical reports and tracking information for the assigned Business Unit.
  • Prepares month end deliverables such as bonus accruals, premium reconciliations, incentive results, performance reviews, variance explanations, and expense tracking.
  • Assists in various administrative tasks and Compensation related tasks as well as Accounts Payable and General Ledger tasks.
  • Prepares and distributes short-term incentive memos, annual leadership target sheets, and monthly target memos
  • Responds to payroll inquiries submitted by Sales and Marketing team members
  • Drafts and maintains SOPs and process documentation
  • Updates and generates financial reporting for review
  • Utilizes Excel, Cognos, and other proprietary systems including Chorus and Clarity for data entry, tracking and reporting.
  • Calculates bonus and compensation accruals according to published monthly guidelines/targets for payout
  • Analyzes/prepares/submits SPIFF/STI, discretionary payments, and compensation recalculations
  • Maintains, reviews and distributes reporting on performance management and incentive tracking
  • Develops and maintains a general understanding of the HGV Product and Sales Process and attends refresher trainings as needed.
  • Conducts weekly meetings or trainings with other Business Specialists
  • Schedules monthly meeting with the Director of Bus Ops to go over schedules, trainings, assignments, evaluations, and goals progress
  • Carries out any reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of performing
