About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. As a Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff, you will be part of the team that drives advancement of next-generation technologies and platforms, primarily impacting AT&T network infrastructure initiatives. Contribute to the research, development, and implementation of innovative technologies in support of AT&T's mission to connect people and businesses worldwide. This role will contribute to transform the Metro Access and Broadband Network into AI-driven infrastructure enabling connectivity services for enterprise and consumer.

Requirements

  • Intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills to dissect complex data network issues to problem-solve.
  • Excellent understanding of data networking technologies including Ethernet, IP Routing, Virtualization (KVM, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Good knowledge of Software-defined networks (SDNs) and Data Center architecture.
  • Knowledge of Gen AI tools, LLM, RAG, A2A, MCP.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 1-3 years relevant software application development experience (within Technology company).
  • Demonstrated ability solving complex engineering problems.
  • Business acumen and aptitude to understand the key industry drivers.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Innovation mindset and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions for projects of high complexity, requiring in-depth evaluation of intangible factors.
  • Programmable network orchestration, AIOps, Digital-network simulation & driving use of Gen-AI.
  • Develop network architecture requirements, platform configurations standards, validation test, OSS/BSS integration requirements, FFA & Rollout.
  • Vendor Management, Proof of concept, Technology evaluation[s].
  • Project Management, Budgeting, resource allocation.
  • Technical planning, collaboration across teams and provide hands-on technical support.
