About The Position

Cooling performance limits high-power computing, semi-conductor fab, cell networks, photonics, power electronics, and most of our digital world. JCI enables customers to break through these constraints with novel complex metal components that dramatically improve heat dissipation in high-performance systems. JCI’s patented Stack Forging™ process enables complex micro-geometries, resulting in single-piece, leak-tight parts that deliver superior cooling performance, lower pressure drops, and exceptional reliability. This role generally requires 4 days onsite per week. What you’ll do As a Sr. Solutions Engineer, you will be a critical link between our customers and our technology, playing a pivotal role in the delivery process. You are a thermal expert who thrives on translating complex customer needs into elegant, manufacturable solutions. You will be responsible for all aspects of project success, from initial feasibility assessments to overseeing project execution and managing the technical needs of the ongoing relationship. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in thermal management and architecture, and has a proven track record in cross-functional team leadership.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Strong expertise in thermal management, heat transfer, and related system design principles.
  • Experience in a customer-facing capacity (e.g., applications, sales, or field engineering)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee technical projects.
  • Strong experience in project management fundamentals, with a focus on execution, including requirements definition, risk management, and schedule oversight.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to quickly understand and solve complex problems.
  • Experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.

Nice To Haves

  • A graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a focus on thermal fluids
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Management: Once a project is won, lead a cross-functional team of engineers to ensure the successful execution of the project.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Support clear, proactive communication with customers, providing updates, managing expectations, and resolving technical challenges efficiently
  • Collaborate closely with sales and technical sales teams during handover phases to ensure continuity and a deep understanding of customer expectations
  • Drive project success by aligning internal engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders around clear objectives and deliverables.
  • Thermal Architecture & Feasibility: Lead the development of novel thermal-fluid architectures and concepts that map our capabilities to customer needs.
  • Participate in initial analysis and feasibility assessments to determine if a customer's problem is a strong fit for our technology.
  • Distill insights from projects to help inform the product and technology roadmap.
