About The Position

Senior Solutions Architect, Splunk Solutions Practice will be a key member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, responsible for scoping, qualifying, and designing opportunities related to Splunk, including the proprietary Presidio Atlas platform, AppDynamics, and Cribl service offerings. You will provide technical expertise, solution architecture, and consultative guidance to our customers, ensuring their business initiatives are successfully mapped to the right delivery solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 8+ years in a solutions architecture or pre-sales engineering role with experience in observability and data platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, AppDynamics, and Cribl.
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, and application performance management.
  • Experience designing and presenting complex technical solutions with specific business outcomes to enterprise customers.
  • Ability to create SOWs, proposals, and solution documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to clearly convey technical value to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional sales and engineering teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as Splunk Certified Architect, Splunk Certified Consultant, or AppDynamics certification(s).
  • Previous experience with a systems integrator or consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of complementary solutions in the observability and security ecosystem (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, ServiceNow).
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, SSP overtays, and customers to identify, qualify, and scope opportunities.
  • Lead customer-facing discovery, presentations, and demonstrations of Splunk, AppDynamics, and Cribl solutions with an emphasis on professional services solutions.
  • Deliver pre-sales technical expertise, including requirements gathering, solution design, and proposal development.
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs), Bill of Materials (BoMs), and high-level architectures to support customer needs.
  • Provide thought leadership in observability, monitoring, and data flow solutions, aligning technology to business outcomes.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customers by providing deep platform knowledge and consultative support.
  • Stay current on Splunk ecosystem tools, emerging observability technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain active certifications and deep platform knowledge across all assigned technologies.
  • Scope and qualify opportunities across Splunk, AppDynamics, and Cribl
  • Engage in pre-sales discovery sessions to understand business drivers, technical requirements, and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and present solution architectures and roadmaps to executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with Presidio's Professional Services team to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers to expand practice capabilities.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize customer value and profitability.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing, enablement, and practice growth initiatives within the Splunk Solutions team.
