As a Sr Software Engineer, you will be a seasoned individual contributor responsible for advancing existing technology or introducing new technology and therapies. You will formulate, deliver, and manage projects, working with stakeholders to achieve desired results, and may mentor or direct the work of lower-level professionals. The role involves significant time in R&D, systems, or initiatives related to new technologies, from design to implementation, while adhering to policies and utilizing specialized knowledge and skills. You will work independently under limited supervision, contributing to work group objectives, making process improvements, providing in-depth analysis, and influencing decision-making through communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment (for roles below Principal level)
  • Regularly required to be independently mobile (for Office Roles)
  • Required to interact with a computer (for Office Roles)
  • Required to communicate with peers and co-workers (for Office Roles)

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities
  • Determines systems software design requirements
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency
  • Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures
  • May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs
  • Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level specialists; may manage projects / processes
  • Contributes to the completion of work group objectives, through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments
  • Makes improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area
  • Provides in-depth analysis and often provides recommendations on process improvements
  • Communicates with senior internal and external customers and vendors
  • Exchanges information of facts, statuses, ideas and issues to achieve objective, and influence decision-making
  • May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area
  • May manage projects, requiring delegation of work and review of others' work product
