Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL, ensuring efficient communication between distributed systems and utilizing caching solutions. (2 years)
• Experience designing and developing large-scale backend software applications using Object-Oriented programming (OOPs) concepts. (2 years)
• Experience with deploying and managing cloud-based applications on cloud platforms utilizing services (2 years)
• Experience in managing software applications infrastructure as a Code and messaging, queuing protocols/ systems (1 year)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design, data querying, query optimization, and performance tuning. (2 years)
• Experience in designing software architecture, including microservices and event-driven architecture, to build scalable and maintainable applications. (2 years)
• Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests using frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability, and in automation testing, including functional, integration, and regression testing (2 years)
• Experience with continuous integration using tools (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) to streamline development workflows (2 years)
• Experience with implementing continuous delivery pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployment processes using Docker and Kubernetes. (1 year)
• Experience in monitoring system health and troubleshooting live production issues using logs and dashboards (2 years).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new software solutions for distributed systems using experience with distributed services and backend systems.
• Utilize advanced skills with RDBMS and NoSQL data stores, caching solutions (e.g. Redis, ElastiCache, Hazelcast), and messaging/queuing protocols/systems such as SQS/Kafka/RabbitMQ/Pulsar to create application features and solutions with fast data storage capabilities, and a distributed processing engine enabling software to access and manipulate data with low latency.
• Lead projects and mentor junior engineering staff, along with managing relationships with Product, Engineering Operations, and non-technical business and support teams.
• Build software services on public cloud -AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews.
