About The Position

Our team is looking for a technical leader with broad experience in Salesforce-based production environments. As a Senior Salesforce Developer at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, you’d work primarily in Salesforce Health Cloud and Marketing Cloud. The following experience and skills will be helpful in this role: Certifications: Salesforce Developer Certifications (examples: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, etc.) Experience: 5+ years in Salesforce development and integrations experience (Apex, LWC) combined with experience leading declarative configurations (Flows, OmniStudio) preferred. Prior Vlocity for Healthcare/Salesforce Industries Health Payer experience a big plus. Testing: Formal testing experience preferred. DevSecOps: Experience progressing configurations and customizations from sandbox environments in SalesForce to production environments (using a formal SDLC governance structure, Agile). Experience specifically with Azure DevOps (ADO) is a plus! Note: This role includes periodic (typically monthly) on-call support responsibilities. This is a fully remote role; however, onsite interviews at our Chattanooga, TN headquarters are required. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience. Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience in a corporate environment.
5 years - Systems and programming experience required
1 year - Experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards required
1 year - Expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST.
Salesforce APIs: Knowledge of Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Metadata) for integrating Salesforce with other systems.
Health or Marketing Cloud: Understanding of Health Cloud objects, components, and flows
Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is required
Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects
Top level technical experience in one or more specialized areas of applications systems analysis and programming
Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
Be organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks with exceptional work ethic.
Leadership skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Management of Salesforce orgs
Application of DevSecOps formal processes and tools in a Salesforce-based environment
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems.
Devises or modifies application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents programs, subroutines, and scripts.
Develops and implements program/system test plans.
Devises data verification methods and standard system procedures.
Responds to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems.
May conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support management in budgeting and purchasing efforts.
Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.
