About The Position

Securiport LLC is a US company based in Reston, VA, that specializes in the design and implementation of full solutions for border security. This includes passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, advanced threat detection and screening, and intelligent information reporting and management systems based on advanced technological solutions. Securiport provides a complete immigration processing solution and analytics to maintain border security. Services include technical analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of Securiport’s software solutions, training, and technical support to the field operations. You will help build and maintain microservices-based applications designed for threat detection, screening, and analysis. Our systems are primarily built in C# and SQL Server, with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IMB MQ as a plus. You will work on APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, contributing to a secure, scalable, and high-performance software ecosystem. You will collaborate with senior developers, DevOps engineers, and data experts in an Agile team environment. Requirements

  • Experience with multiple computer languages and frameworks, with strong experience in one modern enterprise language (e.g. C#).
  • Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Demonstrated experience developing quality APIs (REST/gRPC), microservices, and data access software.
  • Experience with asynchronous, distributed systems development.
  • Experience with GitHub.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD technologies and principles (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Firm understanding and experience with building and deploying software into Docker containers.
  • Experience with C# and .NET development.
  • Understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with microservices and APIs.
  • Exposure to GitHub and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Using Cloud for deployment (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
  • 8 years’ experience in related field required.
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 12 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above. A strong portfolio and/or relevant certifications will be taken into consideration.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure).
  • Using GitHub for code management.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies; experience with Azure DevOps is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD principles; hands-on experience is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (a plus but not required).
  • Any experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IMB MQ is a plus but not mandatory.
  • JavaScript/TypeScript development
  • Developing UIs using React or similar framework
  • Building analytics that process large and diverse data sets
  • Understanding of modern software-defined networking and storage
  • Background in systems engineering or systems administration.
