Tesla’s Robotics Software Engineering team is responsible for the design and development of robotic controls and fleet management systems for Tesla’s manufacturing, material flow, and logistic use cases. This includes the management of AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), ASRSs (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), conveyor systems, and the potential usage of Optimus on the factory floor. We are seeking a software engineer to have strong experience in robotic kinematics/dynamics modeling, motion control algorithm design (including classical and model-based approaches), and hands-on deployment in real-world projects, who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing motion control systems for autonomous and industrial robots, as well as address sustaining engineering needs. This role requires sitting onsite full time in Austin, TX, and frequent travel to Tesla factories worldwide.
