The Role You’ll Play As a Senior Android Engineer you'll be a key member of a cross-functional team focused on creating new features for the ClassPass mobile apps. You love to build robust and user friendly apps. You know how to separate concerns between the different layers of a mobile codebase, from the user interface components right down to the model layer. You know the best software is created through collaboration and iteration and you're looking for the right opportunity, and the right team, to expand your experience. You like to ship software early and often, you value simplicity and strive to eliminate unnecessary complexity.

Requirements

  • Collaborating closely with product & design, shipping early and often.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship for junior engineers through thoughtful code reviews, pairing, and technical discussions.
  • Seeking feedback because you know it has the ability to turn good work into great work.
  • Writing clear and concise technical documents.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, and sharing them with the team.
  • Track record of shipping successful Android apps to the Google Play Store.
  • Proven analytical abilities and propensity for problem solving. Initiative to identify process and systems improvements and to take ownership of implementation.
  • Bias for action, driving impact, and initiating ideas.
  • Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android development.
  • Experience working on a large modular codebase that was started a decade ago and needs to be well architected for the next decade of growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Flutter experience is a plus, but not a requirement!
