Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global telecom service? This role of for a Senior Software Engineer who will lead the design, implementation, and operations of globally available distributed systems geared towards controlling, managing, and monitoring Leo's terrestrial devices. You’ll build systems using the latest AWS technologies, leveraging best-in-industry software engineering practices. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team Leo Data Science Platform team build services to ingest, transform, and aggregate data from various devices in Leo Network, and auto detect, diagnose, and resolve issues. We use ML technology to monitor customer experience and prevent fraud and abuse.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Telecom Applications and Services.
• Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams.
• Drive Customer Engagement Systems application and data architecture.
• Evangelize engineering excellence best practices and mentor junior engineers.
